Licensed Architect - Must 5 Years of Commercial and Residential and Gov Agency Experiences

【Key Responsibilities】

  • Project Management & Coordination: Lead project setup and manage projects through all phases, including scheduling and progress meetings. Conduct site visits to ensure design intent, compliance, and construction progress. Coordinate new Certificates of Occupancy and project closeout documentation.

  • Code Compliance & City Agency Coordination: Review architectural plans for compliance with NYC building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards. Prepare redlines for plans and City Agency documents. Manage DOB filings and meet directly with DOB plan examiners. Coordinate with city agencies to facilitate approvals and resolve compliance issues.

  • Documentation & Drafting: Perform occasional drafting and plan revisions using AutoCAD. Ensure accuracy and consistency across construction and permit documents.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Communicate effectively with internal team members, contractors, clients, and Building Department officials. Maintain a professional and collaborative approach in all interactions.

【Qualifications】

  • Education, Licensing & Experience:

    • NY State Architecture License (Required)

    • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a licensed architect in commercial and residential projects

    • At least 1 year of experience collaborating with government agencies

    • Strong familiarity with NYC zoning laws, building codes, and DOB filing processes

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong project management and organizational skills

    • Ability to interpret and apply building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards

    • Proficiency in AutoCAD

    • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Team-oriented mindset

  • Additional Requirements:

    • Mandarin Chinese fluency highly preferred

    • Must be able to commute to Great Neck, NY 11021

    • In-person role
